Lead-acid maintenance-free batteries do not always have to check the liquid level of the battery fluid, as long as they are not very short of electricity.
Lead-acid water battery is a battery that needs to be charged with battery fluid. Always check whether the liquid level is too low, and it should not be too full when adding battery fluid. Otherwise, when the generator charges the battery, it will easily overflow and corrode other parts.
Important reminder of lead-acid water battery plus distilled water
1. The battery can be used in a low-temperature environment (-25°C-0°C), but the use time will be shortened compared to the normal temperature environment, which is a normal phenomenon.
2. The battery must be charged in a place where the ambient temperature is ≥15℃, otherwise, it will not be fully charged.
3. After use (discharge), the battery must not be stored in a low-temperature place (≤0℃), otherwise it will cause the electrolyte to freeze and damage the polar plate.
4. Please fully charge in time after use.
5. Please keep the liquid level always higher than the polar plate. If you need to replenish the liquid level, you must recharge it after fully charged. You must add distilled water (deionized water). Do not use acid-containing supplements.
6. Please add distilled water according to the instructions, the electrolyte should not be too full or overflow.
Of course, how to "add liquid" to the battery is also the key, so what should be paid attention to when adding water to the lead-acid battery?
The maintenance of the battery is an essential task. Because the maintenance of the battery is directly related to the performance and working ability of the vehicle. At present, domestic mainstream lead-acid batteries all need to increase the battery fluid. The following introduces the precautions for the battery and the electrolyte.
1. The electrolyte should be 10 to 15 mm higher than the polar plate; for batteries with two red wires, the electrolyte should not exceed the upper red wire. If the electrolyte is too full, it will overflow from the small holes in the battery cover. The electrolyte conducts electricity, and once it flows between the positive and negative poles of the battery, it will form a loop self-discharge. In this case, the electrolyte should be wiped off, or rinsed with boiling water.
2. If something is accidentally dropped when adding electrolyte, never use metal objects to fish, use wooden sticks to clamp out impurities; if you use iron or copper wire to fish, metal molecules will enter the battery under the corrosion of sulfuric acid. Self-discharge, and damage the battery.
3. During the charging and discharging process of the battery, the water in the electrolyte will gradually decrease due to electrolysis and evaporation, causing the electrolyte level to drop. If it is not replenished in time, it may shorten the service life of the battery, or directly cause damage to the battery, and the distilled water should be replenished in time.
Haohang electric forklift reminder: Never use pure drinking water instead. Because pure water contains many trace elements, it will cause adverse effects on the battery.
